Many clients find accessing psychological support in their own homes to be less stressful. In addition, for clients with a problem that has lead to significant withdrawal, it may be necessary to begin treatment within a safe space. For some clients with significant health problems, home visits may offer the simplest means of accessing psychological support.
To take advantage of the medicare rebate (note the medicare rebate is not available for Stillpoint clients in Jan 2016), a client needs to have consulted with a GP to create a mental health care plan which entitles them to access up to ten sessions per year. If you wish to clarify what your entitlement is, you can speak to a GP about your referral options.
